Gimli- (III 2879- ???)
Gimli is the son of Gloin. His father was one of the dwarves who went on the Quest of Erebor with Bilbo. He went to Rivendell in 3018, were he attended the Council of Elrond with his father. He was chosen to represent the Dwarves as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. He was the first Dwarf to enter the forest of Lorien since the lifetime of Durin. He became a very good friend of Legolas and there friendship was one of the closest of an Elf and a Dwarf. He fought valiantly in the War of the Ring. After the War of the Ring, he had many adventures with his best friend Legolas travelling throughout Middle-Earth until 120 Fourth Age. In the 120th year of the Fourth Age Legolas and Gimli sailed over the sea and left Middle-Earth behind.
