Peregrin Took (III 2990-c. IV 70 [1390-c. 1491 by the Shire Reckoning])

Peregrin Took was the son of Paladin Took II of Great Smials. Although most called him Pippin, he later became Thain Peregrin I. He was a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, the youngest member, in fact. He was only twenty-eight when he set out for Rivendell. His age occasionally manifested itself in hasty actions which earned him the name Fool of a Took from Gandalf.
